Summary: A poem about early childhood.
I wonder…
Where do memories go?
Countless days infused with life,
Then lost among the mists of strife;
Familiar sights, beloved faces,
Childhood tears and happy places –
Where do they go?
To One all-worthy of our trust,
Whose love and mercy shine on us,
Safely held for our return?
Then shall we, in that timeless land
Step back with Him into each hour,
Perfected, as it should have been,
And cleanse our hearts of sorrow and sin?
Thus, free at last of every pain,
Shall fondest memories yet remain
As we ascend the golden path?
